SAO PAULO (AP) — Brazil’s president announced Friday that the United Nations has chosen his country to host the 2025 U.N. climate change conference, though the world body has not yet publicly confirmed the decision.Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said Brazil would hold the conference, known as COP 30, in the Para state city of Belem in the heart of the Brazilian rain forest. A woman is speaking out about the frightening moments when, she said, a Tesla driver’s rage led to dangerous conditions along U.S. 1 in South Miami.Cellphone video captured the moment when the testy driver of a Tesla Model X kicked the vehicle into reverse, Thursday evening. A two car crash in Doral ended up with one vehicle in a canal, sending one person to the hospital, officials said. Doral Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units have responded to the scene of the crash in the area of Northwest 92nd Avenue and 58th Street, Friday afternoon. 7Skyforce hovered over the scene as fire rescue crews surrounded the area. First responders removed a driver who was in the submerged vehicle. According to MDFR, one person has been transported to an area hospital.The roadway in the area of 95th Avenue and 58th Street has been closed as police continue to investigate. WASHINGTON (AP) — Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Friday the projected debt ceiling deadline is extended to June 5, four days later than previously estimated.Yet, Yellen renewed her warning in a letter to Congress that inaction on raising the borrowing limit would “cause severe hardship.”Yellen’s latest letter to legislators on the “X-date” came as Congress broke for the long Memorial Day weekend.
