OAKLAND — The Athletics dealt center fielder Cristian Pache to the Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday in exchange for right-handed pitcher Billy Sullivan, the club announced.Pache, a gifted defensive outfielder never got going offensively a year ago, struggled at the plate this spring and manager Mark Kotsay said Sunday he would not make the final roster. Pache was out of options, hence the trade to the Phillies.Sullivan, 23, was a 28th-round draft pick of the Phillies in 2017, played collegiately at Delaware and hasn’t played above Double-A. Last season for Double-A Reading in the Eastern League, Sullivan was 5-1 with two saves and a 4.59 earned run average. He showed good stuff with 77 strikeouts in 51 innings but also had 36 walks.Pache batted .166 (40-for-241) with the A’s last season with three home runs and 18 RBIs in 91 games. In 41 games for Triple-A Las Vegas, Pache hit .248 with four homers and 20 RBIs.A key piece in the deal that sent Matt Olson to the Atla...Bay Area arts: 9 great concerts and shows to see this weekend
